The purpose of the Committee is to make recommendations to the DMHC Director for standard health equity and quality measures, including annual benchmark standards for assessing equity and quality in health care delivery. The DMHC will establish standards for health plans to comply with starting in 2023 and will produce a Health Equity and Quality Compliance annual report beginning in 2025.
The purpose of the Task Force is to recommend what information, if any, related to pharmaceutical costs health care service plans or their contracted pharmacy benefit managers should report to the DMHC. The Department will submit a report with the Task Force's recommendations to the Legislature by February 1, 2020.
The purpose of the Working Group is to develop a quality standard for patient experience to measure cultural competency related to the TGI community and recommend a trans-inclusive training curriculum to be used by health care plan staff who are in direct contact with enrollees in the delivery of health care services.
The purpose of this public meeting to discuss California’s Essential Health Benefits (EHBs) and the process for updating the benchmark plan. The meeting will include a presentation from Matt Sauter, Senior Consulting Actuary, at Wakely on the process for establishing a new benchmark plan and there will be an opportunity for public comment on the benefits that should be considered for inclusion in the new benchmark plan.
