The Software and Solution Developer works both independently and as part of a team to configure Software as a Service (SaaS) and Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) solutions, as well as develops and maintains custom software by leveraging the Microsoft .NET framework. Performs requirements analysis, design, configuration, software development, unit testing, peer code review, implementation and support for complex system development projects and departmental databases, cloud-based applications, and Microsoft .NET custom applications. Uses analytical skills to interpret requirements and develop accessible solutions deployed as web-based applications. Research technologies and collaborate with other developers on multi-system projects.

About the Job:
The Desktop Support Analyst works at the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) Service Desk performing a variety of tasks in connection with the analysis, development, installation, implementation, procurement, and support of information technology systems, multifunction automated office systems, microcomputer systems, and teleprocessing networks and/or systems. Support includes: technical configuration and support for the desktop computing environment, security patch management and help desk support for all locations, managing specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ)?

Yes and No! Some jobs require an SOQ, and other jobs do not. If an SOQ is required, it will be specified in the Application instructions.

What happens after I submit my application?

The hiring manager will be notified of your application, and it will be reviewed and scored.

  • After your application has been reviewed, HR will do a Minimum Qualifications check and let the hiring manager know whether you are eligible to be considered for an interview.
  • If you are selected for an interview, you will be notified by email or phone and an interview will be scheduled.
  • You will participate in the interview process (with a multi-person panel). Finalists may be asked back for a second interview, technical evaluation, or informal meeting.

Are all positions governed by a union collective bargaining agreement?

No. Manager, Supervisor and IT Specialist III positions are not governed by a collective bargaining agreement.

Can I live anywhere in the world and still telework?

No. You must reside in the State of California and you must remain a resident of California to work for the DMHC.
